Our Team
Colin
Colin grew up on a small farm in Western Idaho and graduated with honors from BYU–Idaho.
During his final year, he was selected for a competitive internship with a national Fortune 100 wealth management firm, where he spent five years building comprehensive financial plans — with a strong focus on helping business owners navigate growth, taxes, and succession.
In 2023, he joined a boutique advisory firm in Eagle, Idaho, specializing in asset management and complex tax planning for high-net-worth clients.
By 2025, Colin had built the client base, experience, and vision to launch Apex Wealth — a firm built to deliver hands-on planning, deep expertise, and personalized attention to a limited number of clients.
Outside of work, Colin spends most of his time with his wife and three young kids — helping with homework, playing Hot Wheels and Spikeball, and sneaking in the occasional date night.
Burkleigh
Burkleigh grew up locally in Nampa, Idaho, where her volleyball talent took her to Umpqua College in Roseburg, Oregon. After having her daughter, she returned to Nampa and began working at a small local business.
As the business grew and expanded into a franchise, Burkleigh was promoted to management and became the corporate trainer, where her strong work ethic and leadership earned her an internal offer to buy out multiple locations.
Choosing to prioritize family, she declined the offer to spend more time with her children. Now rejoined in the workforce, Burkleigh brings her extensive experience to Apex Wealth, enhancing the client experience through her dedication and skill.
Outside of work, she coaches volleyball for a local club and her daughter’s middle school team. She loves being a mother, camping, and supporting her family’s healthy lifestyle — though she firmly believes every night is a good night for ice cream.
